Whistler XTR 695

Whistler has managed to raise the bar in the radar detector arena with the Whistler XTR 695. The XTR 695 has what's called Ka Radar Signal Identification (Ka RSID). RSID identifies the likely source of police radar on the very wide Ka band, numerically, by showing you the operating frequency of the received police radar if it is known to be within the parameters of the manufacturer. In the United States, this is primarily three bands, 33.8 GHz, 34.7 GHz and 35.5 GHz. If the Ka signal is due to another radar detector and is not within the parameters, the XTR 695 will simply alert you with the regular Ka display.
Another innovative feature of the Whistler XTR 695 is that which is called LSID or Laser Signature Id. This can profile incoming laser readings and sort out the likely false sources from the real ones.
The Whistler XTR 695 sports a multi-color backlit LCD display with seven colors and seven different bright/dim settings. You can tailor the display characteristics to the color scheme of your vehicle.
The Whistler XTR 695 can detect when POP radar is being used and you're offered 360 degree perimeter protection with three city modes and a highway mode.
