Band Detection
The Rocky Mountain Radar Detector & Scrambler is able to pick up direct and indirect leakage from both vehicle mounted radar and hand held laser devices. It is able to notify you of oncoming Ka, K, Ku, POP, and SWS signals - along with their strength, as well as instant notifications for all the different types of lasers currently available to law enforcement officials.
But the device doesn't stop here. Whilst you are being notified, the machine is actively working to prevent your speed from being read. By scrambling both laser AND radar signals, the device makes it almost impossible for Police to obtain an accurate reading (or even any reading at all). This will be explained in more detail below.
Display & Layout
The Rocky Mountain Radar Detector & Scrambler takes on a very simplistic design, and it is no bigger than any other window mounted radar detector, despite the increase in technology on the inside. The only result of these added features is that the weight of the device is substantially more than usual, but the manufacturers have compensated for this with a stronger suction cup attachment.
Unique Technology
We are going to dedicate this entire section to explaining the laser / radar scrambler function, despite the fact that this unit has a huge number of additions on board features.
Traditionally, units which have been able to scramble signals have only been able to achieve this with laser guns - as their signal is direct and easy to displace. However, the Rocky Mountain Radar Detector & Scrambler is also able to displace radar signals by altering the frequency sent back to the original issuing unit in a Police car or road side speed camera.
This means that even if Ka band is being used to detect your speed, the signal sent back from your vehicle will completely scramble the Ka band, resulting in a "failed" reading - and therefore, preventing a speeding ticket.
