Cobra XRS 9740

The Cobra XRS 9740 radar detector provides you with total protection and peace of mind. With its Xtreme Range Superheterodyne technology, that detects all 12 radar and laser bands using it's fast detection circuitry, this detector takes the worry out of driving.

You'll receive extra detection range and the very best possible advance warning to detect even the fastest POP radar guns on the roads today. Included on the unit is the DigiView Data Display, an 8 point compass, voice alert and more.

The 12 band detection detects 6 radar, 4 laser and 2 safety signals. The radar signals include X, K, Ka Superwide, Ku bank, BG-2 and Specrtre. The laser signals include LTI 20-20, Ultra Lyte, ProLaser and ProLaser III. Safety signals include Strobe Alert and Safety Alert.

You're provided with a 360 degree detection of laser signals with the Cobra XRS 9740 and the voice alert delivers the warnings with clearly understandable alerts.

The Strobe Alert is exclusive to Cobra and it works with tens of thousands of emergency vehicles that are equipped with traffic light controlling strobe emitters. You will get advance warning of approaching emergency vehicles.

The Safety Alert on the 9740 also warns you of approaching emergency vehicles as well as railroad crossings, and road hazards.

The City Mode offers you the best false signal rejection for both urban and rural travel.

The Cobra XRS 9740 automatically shuts off the unit when the vehicle's ignition is turned off.

You can dim the display using the Dim Mode and the user friendly mode selection/setting with visual guidance is a breeze to use. You can keep you eyes on the road and not the detector.
