With the high performance base unit (which we might add - looks amazing), the Cobra iRadar iRAD-100 is able to detect every band used in the detection of speed. From Ka through to Lidar and Laser, the Cobra iRadar iRAD-100 has you covered in every aspect of band detection.
The base unit device provides 360 degree protection - so that even speed detection from behind can be alerted to.
Display & Layout
Obviously, anything displayed on an iPhone or iPod Touch is remarkable in quality - but you really have to experience the Cobra iRadar iRAD-100 user interface to believe it. When we say "revolution in radar detectors" - we genuinely mean it.
Not only is the graphical display useful and to the point, it is also extremely "cool". Gone are the days of a simply single line display! Now you get charts, histories, and more - with the touch of a button.
Unique Technology
Pretty much everything is unique about this device. The fact that it connects to your apple devices is a world first. The look of the base detector unit is truly revolutionary. The idea that you are able to receive in depth graphical alerts instead of single beeps and tones is a unique and exciting thought.
Furthermore, the inclusion of red light cameras and fixed speed traps makes this a highly versatile unit - with excellent potential.
Performance & Range
With all of this new technology on board (and all the fancy pancy graphics and display app features) - we wouldn't blame you if you had doubts about how well the device actually worked. Thankfully however, we are able to blow these doubts out of the water. Our independent testing revealed that the performance of the Cobra iRadar iRAD-100 is on par with some of Cobra's best radar detector units currently competing with the iRAD.

You should already know what we're going to rate this product. It just has to be 5 stars. From the good looks of the interface and base unit, through to the incredible functionality and performance - there is nothing more we could even dream of wanting from a radar detector. At $170 - it’s not cheap. But you know what? It's worth it!
