Beltronics Vector 995
The Beltronics Vector 995 radar detector was designed for those who want an effective and easy to use radar detector without unnecessary 'bells and whistles'.
The Vector 995 is accurate and effective, compact and very user-friendly. It offers K-, X-, Ka- and even Ku-band protection, plus it offers protection from POP and laser detection.
It could not be any easier to mount the 995 in your vehicle. A small suction cup bracket easily attaches to your windshield, then simply slide the Beltronics Vector 995 in. Done. This radar detector is sturdy and compact. The receiver window is in the rear of the unit and also there is an additional laser detector window that faces the passenger side of the car which detects laser signals that come from behind your vehicle.
The controls are laid out nicely on the Vector 995. On the top of the unit are four buttons that control power, city mode on/off, volume/mute and display brightness. When the detector is in the programming mode, two of these buttons also are used as selection buttons.
The red horizontal LCD display shows the intensity of the radar and laser signals that are detected by the Beltronics Vector 995 and also shows the sensitivity mode.

Included with the detector is a 12 volt cord that plugs into your cigarette lighter socket for powering the unit.
The Beltronics Vector 995 is well equipped to cancel out false alarms and POP radar. POP radar guns are still used by police in heavy traffic and can trick other detectors. The 995 has a highly sensitive receiving system designed to detect the POP signals. This POP detection is a default setting on this unit-a great thing for those who do not want to fiddle with customizing the menu.
The 995 not only has audio tone alerts, but also has digital voice alerts to warn you of dangers ahead. With the AutoMute feature, the volume level is automatically lowered after a few minutes so you are not subject to constant alerts.
